Okyne Medialab is not your traditional entertainment company. We are known in the industry as the young, fun, cool DJ company. We are non-cheesy and don’t play the ‘Chicken Dance’, ‘Hokey Pokey’, ‘Macarena’…etc. Al Okyne started Okyne Medialab in 2004 for the sole purpose of redefining the cliche “wedding DJ” and bring a whole new energy to the entertainment industry, especially for weddings. We specialize in playing music that keeps the dancefloor packed ALL NIGHT!

Premium Sound System
We only use the highest quality sound system for all of our events. Whether it's a 50 person party at A New Leaf or a 500 person GALA the JW Marriott, we will be bringing the same powerful sound system that will rock the dancefloor. All of our gear consists of industry standard manufacturers of professional audio equipment such as QSC, JBL, Denon, Pioneer and many others.

Walk into any [decent] bar or club in Chicago and you will see the DJ using either Serato Scratch Liveor Traktor Scratch Pro digital DJ software. Since we are inherently bar / club DJ's, we of course use these programs as well. We stay on the cutting edge of DJ technology and are always upgrading our system to stay in tuned with what's hot.

DMX Lighting System
When it comes to dancefloor lighting, we stick to our "non-cheesy" philosophy. No strobe lights or disco balls. Instead, we use an intelligent LED DMX lighting system that will definitely add to the excitement on the dancefloor.
- Mic System
Wireless Microphone System
No wires here. We will provide wireless microphones for your event so everyones speeches & toasts can be done right from the head table. No need for that awkward walk up to the DJ's table to grab the mic, we'll leave one at the head table for you.

Log onto our website from any computer, anywhere, anytime and view your personal online tools which allows you to customize your entire evening. View your account information, music playlists, balance due, etc. Select “must plays”, “don’t plays” and make payments through our easy to use online tools.
Disclaimer: Our DJ’s will make you dance to the point of exhaustion. We cannot take any responsibility for accidents on the dancefloor caused by uncontrollable dancing.
